چکیده

Herein, we report, for the first time, synthesis, characterization, and photocatalytic methyl blue dye degradation performance of magnesium oxide (MgO) nanoparticles (NPs) synthesized by a facile green approach using Camellia sinensis (tea leaves) extract as reducing agent. The as-prepared materials were characterized X-ray diffraction (XRD), which confirmed large-scale synthesis well crystalline cubic phase MgO NPs. Rietveld refinement analysis XRD pattern was done to determine crystallographic parameters NPs investigate lattice defects. Microstrain, stress, energy density calculated Williamson–Hall exhibited over 97% efficiency methylene (MB) dye. Complementary functional theory (DFT) calculations revealed favorable formation O 2 − radicals on (001) surface drivers MB degradation. • Facile Synthesis Almost complete nanoparticles. Confirmation - first-principles DFT calculations.

Efficient Immobilised TiO2 in Polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) Membrane for Photocatalytic Degradation of Methylene Blue

Immobilised titanium dioxide (TiO2) in membrane structures has recently become attractive. This is due to the elimination of the separation step after the process of photocatalytic degradation. The efficiency of the TiO2 surface area exposed to UV light as the main important parameter needs to be considered. The immobilisation of TiO2 nanoparticles in the polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) membrane...

Laser-Induced Silver Nanoparticles on Titanium Oxide for Photocatalytic Degradation of Methylene Blue

Silver nanoparticles doped on titanium oxide (TiO(2)) were produced by laser-liquid interaction of silver nitrate (AgNO(3)) in isopropanol. Characteristics of Ag/TiO(2) (Ag doped TiO(2)) nanoparticles produced by the methods presented in this article were investigated by XRD, TEM, SEM, EDX, and UV-Vis. From the UV-Vis measurements, the absorption of visible light of the Ag/TiO(2) photocatalysts...
